Let's face it, you have to live in your house while it's on the market so it's not going to look perfect. But remember every little corner you clean, fix, de-clutter or stage can make a difference when all things are considered.
Try and make your home seem like a model. If you need help, ask. I have a free home stager or we can look at a new model as an example. The main objective is to make the home look as if it's move in ready now. Most people don't want to do work when they move in.
Easy and most likely cheap items to consider when getting your house to sell:

New hardware on your kitchen cabinets

New light fixtures - you can get two 15-inch globes for about $30 total

New mulch or rock around your landscaping to freshen it up
